Winter Wonderland

I had to return a DVD to Blockbuster in Silverdale this morning and as I drove over there I saw snow on the ground in Poulsbo and even more in Silverdale. It was raining and the roads were wet but clear with a lot of slush along the sides.

I spent a little time in the Kitsap Mall and by the time I came out it was snowing again. As I drove back the snow got heavier and heavier. It was sticking to HWY 3 and 305. It was snowing in Poulsbo and when I drove past the bank thermometer the temperature was 29.

By the time I got back to Bainbridge it was snowing here, too and it keeps coming down harder. The local roads are covered. There is snow on the rooftops, the bare limbs of the trees, as well as all over the ground.

It’s very pretty and a nice change from the rain. But it’s not even December yet!

This is definitely going to accumulate much more than the weather forecasters had predicted. I don’t think they expected it to snow here at all.
