Michael Jackson’s Delusions

In an interview with Ed Bradley on CBS’s 6o Minutes this past Sunday, Michael Jackson claimed that he was mistreated by Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department Officials when he was booked on child molestration charges recently. Jackson claimed that his shoulder was dislocated, that bruising on his right mid-forearm was caused by handcuffs that were too tight, and that he was locked in a bathroom with feces smeared on the walls for 45 minutes. (Interview transcript here.)

It is quite obvious from video tapes of his exit from the Sheriff’s Department that his arms were working fine; he raised each arm and a different time to flash a victory “V” to crowds, something that would be impossible to do with a dislocated shoulder.

The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department released both audio and video tapes today that seem to indicate that Jackson was polite and did not complain during the booking procedure.

If Jackson continues to make statements that are so obviously out of sync with evidence, he will have no credibility at all when facing the child molestation charges. People will only become more convinced that he is delusional and therefore incapable of knowing what the truth is.

UPDATE 1/11/2004: The State also has credibility problems. See my post, The State v. Michael Jackson.

Why should he be having DELUSIONS? Just because he’s DIFFERENT to you?
This is the trouble with this society, any sign of a person being DIFFERENT to you SHEEP, and you blow them down in flames.
There’s a saying that goes back a long way…”Live and Let Live”
It means..MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS and let people LIVE theirs.
As Mother Earth is a SCHOOL OF LIFE and there’s no such thing as perfection here, who are YOU to stand in Judgement upon another.
There’s also another saying…”AS YOU SOW, YOU REAP”…so just be careful what words you sow, for they will come back to you abd you won’t like it.
Spend time on yourself, then you might see to difference in others.
Remember, Einstein and Shakespeare were DIFFERENT, but they brought much to society.

  2. Chip Says:

Then who are YOU to stand in judgment of me Mr. High and Mighty?

People who say we should not judge are passing a judgment. Man has an instinct for judging; we can’t get away from it. All that matters is that we pass judgment based on evidence and that we only make judgments for ourselves not others.

I’m not passing judgment on Michael Jackson’s entire contribution, which I think is enormous. I’m saying that no rational person will believe him if he insists on things that are contrary to evidence. You can’t wave your arms high in the air when your shoulder has been dislocated. It’s not possible.

Every reader is judging right now if what I say is true or not. That’s your instinct for judging. It’s a good thing.

Wow! I’m so jealous! I never get comments like this on my site.

MJ totally lied about having a dislocated shoulder. He should have RESEARCHED the symptoms at least . . I have had a discolated shoulder and there is NO WAY you wave your arms above your head. You can barely move your arms at all . . Ditto on the credibility thing., I don’t believe anything he says. This lie is too obvious to be overlooked.
